We’re mates first, colleagues second
and serious Mario Kart competitors third.

We’re all here because we’re the kind of people who agree that the only good kind of puzzle is a solved one. We’re creative thinkers that believe in solutions, not excuses.

Barna is the cog that keeps us running like a well-oiled machine. Coming from a post-COVID Flight Centre, Barna joins us with a wealth of experience in customer experience and leadership - having spent 12 years in the ticketing and operations department for FCTG. Handling everything in the 'hood from day to day operative tasks, contracting and customer liaison, to keeping us tunnel-visioning towards our goals - we'd be truly lost without her!

Dom has been a part of Neighbourhood since the beginning - in fact, he was the original ‘neighbour’; our very first intern. In the years since then, he has risen to become our current Head of Strategy; the one we turn to when there’s a problem to be solved or if we need to know all the reasons our big, crazy ideas might not actually work.

With a background in Copywriting and Advertising, and the only ‘actual’ graphic design degree in the company (despite what everyone else will claim), he’s a bit of a marketing swiss army knife; if you have questions you need answering, whether they’re work or trivia related, then Dom’s the man to ask.

Having previously owned his own creative agency and with over 16 years of experience in marketing and sales, he works with the primary goal of making marketing more human! Riding shotgun with Dom, our head of Digital Strategy, he spends his days at Neighbourhood strategising marketing, sales and customer service plans to help grow our clients' businesses.

Liv also first joined Neighbourhood as an intern. Exposing her to the real world of Digital Marketing, set her up to join the team full-time once she graduated from QUT. Starting her career with Neighbourhood as Digital Marketing Coordinator, she was responsible for the creation and execution of all internal marketing initiatives, including blog writing, email marketing, video production, SEO, campaign development, webinar hosting and strategy formulation. As the agency grew, she advanced to a client management role, applying her best-practice marketing knowledge to a wide variety of clientele, allowing her to broaden her horizons and be continually challenged. After having dipped her toes deep into client management - like Robbie - she’s back! (in the marketing seat). Liv loves a chat and a laugh, although she’s not nearly funny enough for you to laugh with her - so feel free to join the team, and laugh at her. She’s used to it but if that’s not your vibe and you aCtuAlly think she’s cool (like we secretly do) then that's cool too.

With Neighbourhood since its inception alongside Trav, Ben has been a creative mastermind of sorts to drive home intuitive and addictive user experiences and designs for both NBH and our clients. From way back, Trav and Benny have had their fair share of experiences in the music scene together before settling down into the world of adulthood and taxes. Ben pops into the office from time to time to empty our keg then returns WFH to be there with his kids. Always smiles when Benny is in the office.

Yasmin is our latest intern as part of our Hoodlum program learning all things Neighbourhood and HubSpot! Originally from Germany, Yasmin is a bit of a linguist to say the least, speaking up to 4 languages! Her past experiences speak for herself with Yas-Qween being based in Columbia for a period of time as part of a re-socialisation programme for former Geurrilla fighters (wow). Her strengths go far beyond the mental fortitude but Yas is an avid lover of Crossfit while pairing this with a post-feed of about any pasta - as long as half the decision has parmesan on it. Safe to say we're stoked Yas is in the office with us helping our coordinators and specialists execute client tasks whilst providing another opinion on worldly matters!

We bring a lot to the table

With personalised skill sets spanning design, advertising, sales, calligraphy, dj-ing and small, fixed-wing aircraft piloting, we bring a lot to the table (most of it useful), and are always on the hunt for a road less travelled and a solution that no one saw coming.

Our Story

From the kitchen bench to the world 🌎

  • Humanising marketing communciations
  • Taking customer engagement seriously
  • 4 years later Neighbourhood is born
  • Neighbourhood continues to grow year on year

Humanising marketing communciations

  • Big businesses aren't good at humanising their marketing communications. It was a realisation that came quickly to Trav, a man with a solid background in sales and who had previously owned a creative agency.
  • How could such successful companies be doing such a garbage job of treating their customers like actual people?!

Taking customer engagement seriously

  • Setting out with a laptop, a phone and the skills learnt from years as a salesman, Trav wanted to encourage businesses to look at customer engagement seriously, to stop just following the herd and start communicating naturally. In short, to be real.

4 years later Neighbourhood is born

  • 4 years later, after working with over 134 different clients, Trav decided it was time to fully commit; to refocus his own business on the same goal he’d helped so many other brands achieve. Neighbourhood was born as a force to inspire deeper, more meaningful communication between brands and their people, wherever they may be.

Neighbourhood continues to grow year on year

  • It has proved to an inspiration sorely needed, as Neighbourhood continues to grow year on year. By focusing on professional development internally and continuous development for our clients, Neighbourhood is personalising, automating and helping more brands than ever before. Neighbourhood is here to help brands solve their customers problems, not sell to them.
